Such resins are characteristically durable\u00a0thermosetting plastic\u00a0used in high pressure\u00a0decorative laminates\u00a0such as\u00a0Formica, melamine dinnerware, laminate flooring, and\u00a0dry erase boards.<\/p>\n<p>Melamine foam\u00a0is used as insulation, soundproofing material and in\u00a0polymeric\u00a0cleaning products, such as\u00a0Magic Eraser.<\/p>\n<p>Melamine is one of the major components in Pigment Yellow 150, a colorant in inks and plastics.<\/p>\n<p>Melamine also enters the fabrication of melamine poly-sulfonate used as\u00a0superplasticizer\u00a0for making high-resistance\u00a0concrete. Sulfonated\u00a0melamine formaldehyde\u00a0(SMF) is a polymer used as\u00a0cement admixture\u00a0to reduce the water content in concrete while increasing the fluidity and the workability of the mix during its handling and pouring.
